Shiga’s “Grandsnow Oku-Ibuki” ski resort opens on November 22 with artificial snow. Escalators connecting the parking lot and slopes will be installed.

Oku-Ibuki Kanko will open the ski resort “Glansnow Oku-Ibuki” (Kozuhara Oku-Ibuki, Maibara, Shiga Prefecture) from November 22 to April 13, 2025.

Artificial snowmaking machines will be added this season, enabling 1,300m of skiing without natural snow. In addition, six new escalators connecting the parking lot to the slopes will be installed to improve mobility. In addition, the company is promoting its investment of more than 2.1 billion yen in total, including the installation of environmentally friendly septic tanks and self-ordering machines in the food court.
