NTT Urban Development announced on November 6 that it has decided on the name “HAROW” for the Miyazaki-shi Hiroshima 1-chome Project, which is underway on the site of NTT West’s Miyazaki branch (1-12-1 Hiroshima, Miyazaki City).
Harow is a 7-minute walk from JR Miyazaki Station, facing Takachiho-dori, an office district, and Hiroshima-dori, a street lined with street stores. Harow will consist of two buildings, north and south: the north building “Harow Takachihodori Office,” the north building commercial facility “Harow Takachihodori,” and the south building commercial facility “Harow Hiroshima-dori.
In conjunction with the “SMILE MIYAZAKI 100th Anniversary” event, eight of the 17 commercial facilities in the south building will open on November 23, and on the same day, a new stop for the green slow-mobility vehicle “Gurupi” will be built on the south building site. The new station will be used to improve circulation and create even more liveliness in the central area of Miyazaki City. Other stores in the commercial facility are scheduled to open in the spring of 2025.
The south building commercial facility “HAROW Hiroshima Dori” (2 stories above ground), with its distinctive architectural container exterior, will feature a wide lineup of stores, from restaurants utilizing local materials to stores selling goods and popular both in and outside of the prefecture. There will also be a common terrace, event plaza, and deck space.
