The Sendai-Miyagi Tourism Campaign Promotion Council has launched the “Winter Miyagi Travel” campaign, offering special deals for weekday travel. This is a unique measure to stimulate travel demand by dispersing visitors who tend to concentrate on weekends and consecutive holidays to weekdays, and three accommodation coupons will be issued one after another.
From November 11, “Accommodation Discount Coupons” are being distributed on the dedicated Rakuten Travel page. The “1,000 yen discount coupon” can be used for reservations at accommodations in Miyagi Prefecture. The “2,000 yen discount coupon” can be applied to stays of 14,000 yen or more for two or more adults. The coupons are valid for stays from January 6 to 30, 2025 (including check-out on January 31), excluding Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
From 10:00 a.m. on November 18, “Discount Coupon for Food Plan and Plan with Lift Ticket” will be distributed on the dedicated Rakuten Travel page. The coupon offers a 4,000 yen discount per reservation for accommodation plans to enjoy Miyagi’s gourmet food and skiing. The coupon can be applied to a trip costing 15,000 yen or more for one person or more. The coupon is valid for stays between February 3 and 13 (including check-out on February 14), excluding Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
From 10:00 a.m. on December 2, a special area-specific random coupon “Go-Toku Pon” will be distributed on a special page to be opened on the same day. The coupon will be randomly selected from 4 areas in the prefecture, and each reservation will be discounted by 7,000 yen. The coupon can be applied to stays of 12,000 yen or more for one person or more. The offer is valid for stays between February 17 and 27 (including check-out on February 28), excluding Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
