ANA is accepting applications for the lottery for the “First Sunrise Flight” to be held on January 1, 2025. Applications will be accepted from 2:00 p.m. on November 14 to 11:59 p.m. on November 24, and will be limited to ANA Mileage Club members. After that, if seats are available, the flight will go on sale to the general public from 2:00 p.m. on December 12.
On the day of the flight, both Haneda and Narita flights will gather at the airport between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. and depart after 5:30 a.m. Haneda and Narita flights will take passengers over Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, and Narita flights will take passengers over Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, respectively, to view the first sunrise of the new year, followed by a scenic flight over Mt. Both flights take about two and a half hours.
In addition to offering Osechi-style boxed lunches, the airline will distribute boarding certificates, flight tags made of 787-8 seat fabric, original blankets, and the January issue of its in-flight magazine (Tsubasa no Okoku).
The trip cost (for flights to/from Haneda) is 95,000 yen for premium class seats window-side, 85,000 yen for window-side (above the wings), and 67,000 yen for aisle-side. Regular seats are 75,000 yen for window seats, 57,000 yen for window seats (above the wings), and 35,000 yen for aisle seats. Window seats require a minimum of two people to apply.
