Who are you going with? Akita in Winter” Campaign from December 1. Limited coupons available at Rakuten Travel.

Akita Prefecture and JR East Akita Branch will launch a large-scale winter tourism campaign in Akita Prefecture, “Who to Go with? Akita in Winter” from December 1 to February 28, 2025.

During the period, the event will promote travel unique to Akita in winter with the keywords of “hot springs,” “food and sake,” “koshogatsu events,” and “snow,” and provide information on events on a special website. In addition, a Namahage (Japanese crocodile) wrapped train will be operated on the Oga Line, a digital rally to win Akita’s specialty gourmet foods, and discount coupons for the JR East View Dynamic Rail Pack (JR + lodging) will also be offered.

As part of the campaign, “Akita Winter Asobiwari,” a special discount on experiences and activities in Akita, is being offered. On a special page on the reservation site “Asobuyu! on the special page on the “Asobu!” reservation site, ski package products are available at a discount of up to 50% off (maximum discount of 5,000 yen) and experience content products at a discount of up to 50% off (maximum discount of 6,000 yen). Outdoor experiences such as camping and tent saunas, and indoor experiences such as traditional performing arts and pilgrimage tours to sacred sites are also eligible.

Under the title of “Nme Akita Winter Gastronomic Trip,” accommodation plans featuring local products such as kiritanpo hot pot, grilled grouper, tonburi, and Japanese sake are available at participating accommodation facilities. The plans are available on a special page on the “Rakuten Travel” reservation site, and a 3,000 yen discount coupon can be applied to the “Nme-te” Local Sake Plan for Winter (220 coupons available on a first-come, first-served basis).
