Honolulu Coffee Japan will hold the grand opening of its first Honolulu Coffee store in Japan (1-14-4 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on December 5.
The exterior walls of 1/1 HARAJUKU “K”, where the store will be located, are decorated with mural art by Kevin Lyons, an artist famous for his murals in the Kakaako district of Hawaii. The interior design incorporates colonial style designs and motifs that symbolize Hawaii, and by playing Hawaiian music and original selections, visitors can experience Hawaii through all five senses.
The menu includes a wide range of beverage options such as “Kona Coffee” made with Kona coffee hand-picked one by one at the company’s own plantation on the Big Island of Hawaii, four types of “Acai Bowls” and “Pancakes” made with Brazilian acai, and “Bakery” that goes well with Kona coffee.
Limited-edition Harajuku-inspired goods such as notebooks and eco bags are also available. The Harajuku-inspired motifs and the phrase “E KOMO MAI HARAJUKU” (“Welcome to Honolulu Coffee Harajuku” in Hawaiian) are also on sale.
