On November 14, Fujikyu conducted a preview of the “Lake Sagami Illumination” illumination event at the “Lake Sagami MORI MORI” adventure resort (1634 Wakayanagi, Midori-ku, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture). The event will open to the public tomorrow, November 16. Lake Sagami Illumination is a winter event that will be held for the 16th time this year. The illumination of about 6 million bulbs, one of the largest in the Kanto area, will shine on a 40,000 m2 site with a difference in elevation. At the “Night View Summit 2012 in Nagasaki” held by the Night View Convention & Visitors Bureau, it was recognized as one of the “Three Greatest Illuminations in Kanto” along with “Ashikaga Flower Park” in Tochigi Prefecture and “Enoshima: Jewel of Shonan” in Kanagawa Prefecture. In the “International Illumination Award” for the year 2024, it won the third place in the “Excellent Entertainment Award” in the “Illumination Event Category. This year, the “San-X Characters Illumination Area” featuring popular San-X characters is a major topic of interest. In addition to a photo spot where visitors can take pictures with “Rilakkuma” and “Tarepanda,” the wild dining room and store by the entrance will sell novelty food and collaborative goods. Lake Sagami MORI MORI, which was established in 1972 as “Lake Sagami Picnic Land,” joined the Fujikyu Group in February 2007 and developed into an outdoor resort called “Lake Sagami Resort Pleasure Forest. In July 2024, the name was changed to the current name in order to further evolve into “a park that provides guests with inspiring experiences.

The summit area The San-X Characters Illumination Area is located at the top of the mountain after the rainbow lift. Once you get off the lift, you will find yourself in a world of light where the characters shine brightly. There is an “Art Wall” perfect for commemorative photos, a “Let’s take a photo together” photo spot, and a gate that leads to an area featuring familiar characters such as “Ookina Tare Balloon” and “Sumikko Gurashi”. At the far end is the San-X Character Stage. The “Ebi Ebi Everyday! and “Berry Gyutto Korilakkuma”.

Illumillion Light Spot This area is located around the stores and dining area. In addition to the popular spots such as “Flower Garden of Light” and “Sea of Light,” “Forest of Light” and “Palace of Shining Forest” have been newly added. Visitors can enjoy “Serenade of the Holy Night” until January 7 and “Concert of the Forest Friends” after January 10 under the theme of “Concert of the Spring”. In addition, there will be a “flying swing” and “light showers” and many night attractions around Paddington Town. Visitors can not only view the illumination but also play at the attractions.
