UDS opened ASNOVA RESORT/ FOLQ HAKONE GORA (1322-19 Gora, Hakone-cho, Ashigarashita-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture), a joint project with Asnova Design, on November 15.
The company conducted a questionnaire survey on “ideal accommodation facilities” among approximately 100 dog owners across the country, and identified approximately 50 functions that are required. The facility was planned as a facility that would fulfill these requirements.
Located a 13-minute walk from Hakone Ropeway Hayakumozan Station and a 30-minute drive from the Tomei Gotemba Interchange. It is a two-story wooden structure with two guest rooms.
Rooms are designed based on the concept of “blank spaces,” with white and wood grain as the basic colors. The open-plan living room with 5-meter-high ceilings is spacious enough for even large dogs. From the windows, you can see the spacious lawn garden and the Hakone mountains.
The space facing the living/dining room is equipped with a private dog run of approximately 200 m2 for the exclusive use of each guest room. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool that can be reserved for private use by the hour, which can be made two levels deep to allow pets who are not good swimmers to enjoy it. It has a function to generate water currents, which is said to be effective for pets’ muscle recovery and hydrotherapy.
The private hot spring is a 100% source of muddy white water drawn from Owakudani, and the floor, walls, and ceiling are all designed in white. In addition, there is a private sauna where self-launge is available, as well as a water bath and an outdoor air bath space.
