The RV park introduced here is Hygge Yamanakako (1409 Hirano, Yamanakako-mura, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture), located near Lake Yamanakako, one of the Fuji Five Lakes.
Hyuge Yamanakako is a new RV park that just opened this September. It is located along the Doshi Road (Route 413) that runs from Yamanakako to Sagamihara, making it easily accessible for large campers. There is also a convenience store and a one-day hot spring nearby.
Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash in the RV park. There is a dog run in the café attached to the park, which will be described later.
Fees for use of a lot without AC are 3300 yen on weekdays and 4400 yen on weekends and holidays. 4400 yen for a lot with AC power on weekdays and 5500 yen on weekends and holidays. In high season, the fees are +1100 yen each. Currently (as of November, 2024), during the opening campaign, the price of a plot without AC power is 1650 yen on weekdays and 3300 yen on weekends and holidays, while a plot with AC power is 3300 yen on weekdays and 4400 yen on weekends and holidays. Please check the reservation site to see if the campaign is still in effect.
Since the site is a former tennis court facility, it is not only spacious, but the ground is flat, making it easy to drive into the site. The ground is flat, making it easy to drive into the site, and there is no need to worry about the slope of the ground when parking your car. The site is also used as a parking lot for visitors to the Yamanaka Terrace café, but the large lot does not make it feel cramped.
Check-in time is from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; after 5:00 p.m., please contact the hotel. Check-out is by 11:00 am. The entrance gate is open 24 hours, so early morning departures are possible.
There are currently 12 plots set up as RV parks. Currently, all of the plots are without power, but the building where the shared space is located has an external power supply, so it is possible to bring an extension cord to get electricity in the plots closest to the building. This is the tentative AC power section.
On the mountain side is “Lot A” with space for six cars. On the opposite side of the fence is “Lot B,” which also has space for six cars.
The condition of the road surface is the image of a campground, as Lot A is on soil (partially covered with short grass). However, because it is dirt, it can be muddy on rainy days. In contrast, Lot B is on gravel. If you are using a large camping car on a rainy day, you may feel safer in Lot B because of the stability of the footing.
The sizes of the plots are all the same for both A and B. The long side is 8 meters and the short side is 5 meters, so even large camping cars can be parked without problems. The company plans to listen to the opinions of users and make improvements to the spaces to make them more comfortable, such as increasing the number of compartments and creating more space between adjacent compartments.
