On November 18, Marriott International opened the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Osaka Umeda (1-10-3 Shibata, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), the company’s 100th hotel in Japan.
The brand’s first facility in the Asia-Pacific region, this mid-scale hotel is designed to provide a comfortable stay at an affordable price, and is built like a so-called business hotel.
A commemorative ceremony was held on the opening day, and a preview of the interior of the facility was also held. Four Points Flex by Sheraton Osaka Umeda is a 10-minute walk north of JR Osaka Station. Nearby is Chayamachi, where many restaurants line the streets, making it a convenient location for business and sightseeing.
Rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi and amenities. On the first floor of the same building is Yayoiken, which mainly serves set meals and rice bowls, and offers breakfast and other meals for hotel guests (for a fee).
In addition to three room types (single, double, and twin), accessible single and twin rooms are available for wheelchair users. The single and double rooms are 14 m2 and the twin rooms are 18 m2, while the accessible type is 17 m2 for single rooms and 26 m2 for twin rooms.
