Peach eliminates “sports equipment” such as skis and surfboards from checked baggage. All items will be checked as large baggage.

Posted on 2024-11-192024-12-04 by Editor in Chief

Peach Aviation will make some changes to its checked baggage rules for flights starting on December 3.

The change applies to “sports equipment” rules, which used to apply to golf, bicycles, skis/snowboards, surfboards, etc. From now on, large baggage with a total of 204 cm or more on three sides (within the upper limit of 80 x 80 x 230 cm on each side) will be treated as “oversize option” and checked in as such. The fee for using the option is 1,900 yen per piece.

Previously, the fee applied to items with a maximum side length of 203 cm or less, including storage cases, and the fee varied from 2,200 yen to 5,100 yen depending on the item to be checked in, but with this change, the range of baggage types that can be checked in will be expanded and the fee will be uniform.
