Hotel New Akao (1993-250 Atami, Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture) has released the details of its second “100th Anniversary of the Showa Era” event.
The hotel will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025, counting from its opening in 1973, and is holding a variety of commemorative events inside and outside the hotel over the course of the year.
They can enjoy daily performances, workshops, and other uplifting events that can be enjoyed during their stay, as if they were opening a toy box, in the Showa-era retro museum.
For example, the “Photo Contest – White Christmas at New Akao” is looking for the best photo taken by using AR to make snow fall inside the hotel. The contest will be held from November 20 to December 25.
In the “Let’s Write a Letter to Santa Claus” event, visitors can receive a letter from Santa Claus on Christmas Day by posting it in a special mailbox located in the museum. The event will be held from November 20 to December 15.
In the “Christmas Keyword Rally,” visitors will visit Christmas trees in the museum and collect all the keywords to complete a word to receive a wonderful present. The rally will be held from November 20 to December 25.
