Sony Store began accepting pre-orders for the WF-C510 and WH-CH520 with Disney Princess design on December 3, 2012. The “WF-C510” is priced at 11,900 yen and the “WH-CH520” at 9,700 yen.
The WF-C510 is Sony’s smallest ever Bluetooth-enabled fully wireless earphone. Weighing only 4.6g each, the left and right earbuds are lightweight and can easily fit in a variety of ear shapes. The sound quality design with a good balance from bass to treble is also said to be attractive. Available in blue, yellow, white, and black. There are five designs to choose from: Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Belle.
The other model, WH-CH520, is a wireless headphone equipped with DSEE, a proprietary high sound quality technology that restores compressed sound sources to CD quality and reproduces them with a spacious sound. The earpads are made of low repulsion polyurethane foam for comfort even after long hours of use. Available in two colors, white and beige, and with a choice of 10 combinations of princesses, including Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Belle.
Also released at the same time, the Disney Mickey & Friends model WF-1000XM5 comes in a new smoky pink color. It is said to feature noise cancellation and an 8.4mm-diameter driver unit for natural highs and rich bass. The price is 43,800 yen.
The WH-1000XM5, also in smoky pink, will also be available. These headphones are also equipped with a noise canceling function, and the high sound quality technology developed for Walkman has been optimized for headphones, resulting in improved reproduction of fine sounds and a greater sense of spaciousness and localization. The price is 61,400 yen.
