DEAN & DELUCA, operated by Welkam, released its first “Backpack Black” today, December 9. Priced at 7,480 yen, it is available in limited quantities. It will be available at market stores (excluding Bakery Musashi Sakai and THE WINE STORE DEAN&DELUCA) and online.
The item was developed by DEAN & DELUCA’s kitchen tool and houseware division, which has used its experience to pursue functionality and design. In consideration of usage scenarios where luggage tends to increase, the bag is lightweight despite its large capacity, and was designed for both travel and daily use. It measures approximately 30 x 19 x 45 cm (W x D x H).
The storage space is divided into two sections for easy organization of luggage, and the wide gussets allow a DEAN & DELUCA lunch bag to fit easily. The back side also has a thick cushion at the bottom, which is perfect for a PC, tablet, magazine or organizer.
In addition, the main compartment can be opened and closed in both directions by pulling the large zipper for smooth access to the luggage. The double-sided water-repellent nylon fabric is also equipped with a zipper cover, so it is said to be safe even on rainy days.
A large pocket on the front for quickly accessible items. One side pocket can hold an umbrella or drink bottle. Inside, there is a mesh pocket with a zipper to hold a passport, tickets, or other small items.
