Universal Studios Japan will expand the area of “Super Nintendo World” by 1.7 times and open a new area, Donkey Kong Country, on December 11. To commemorate this event, an eve celebration event was held on December 10.

J.L. Bonnier, President and CEO of U.S.J., Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo Representative Director and Fellow, Mark Woodbury, Chairman and CEO of Universal Destinations & Experiences, and Donkey Kong and actor Haruka Fukuhara appeared next from the “Donkey Kong House.
The entire area lit up with Donkey Kong’s yell as the four speakers walked up to each other holding the letters “K,” “O,” “N,” and “G” respectively. The jungle at night was revealed.
