Odakyu to Revise Schedule on March 15. More Romance Cars, direct service between Tama Line and Chiyoda Line restored, etc.

Odakyu Electric Railway will implement a timetable revision on March 15, 2025.

The limited express Romancecar service will increase the number of “Home Way” trains departing from Shinjuku Station at 10:00 p.m. on weekdays. The company claims that this will enable passengers to travel more spaciously due to the high seat occupancy rate.

The “Sagami No. 61” departing from Shinjuku Station at 15:40 on weekends and holidays will be replaced by the “Hakone No. 27” bound for Hakone-Yumoto Station (the return train will also be operated as the “Hakone No. 24”). In addition, more trains will stop at Isehara Station and Hadano Station on weekdays and weekends, and connections with express and rapid express trains will be improved.

The number of stops for each type of train will be increased, and the types of trains will be reorganized. The rapid express train will be changed to stop at Kaisei Station, and the change of train type from express to express at Shin-Matsuda Station will be abolished. The express trains on the Tama Line will stop at each station on the Tama Line, the proportion of express trains on the Tama Line will be increased, and the change of train type from express to limited express at Shin-Yurigaoka Station will be eliminated. Kitami Station and Izumi-Tamagawa Station will be added to the semi-express train stops.

The Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line direct express trains that operate to/from Mukoogaoka-Yuen Station will be changed to operate to/from Karakida Station, and direct trains between the Tama Line and the Chiyoda Line will be restored.

The downbound express service on weekdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. that directly connects to the Chiyoda Line will be converted to an express service. This express will stop at platform 3 (Tama Line platform) at Shin-Yurigaoka Station, and also aims to prevent delays by eliminating the need for users in a hurry to change trains at Yoyogi Uehara.

In addition, all trains at Shimokitazawa Station will depart from platforms 3 and 4 on the first basement level early in the morning and late at night to improve convenience.
