JICA President Akihiko Tanaka participated in a delegation of the Japan-Indonesia Association to Indonesia and met with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace on December 5 with members of the delegation.
During the meeting, President Prabowo explained about priority policies, and President Tanaka explained JICA’s efforts in Indonesia, referring to specific initiatives in the irrigation and fisheries fields and promotion of projects through private-sector collaboration, and exchanged views on future cooperation.
In addition to the above-mentioned delegation, a meeting was also held with Minister Yahya Yashyerli, Minister of Labor. During the meeting, Minister Yashieli explained the Indonesian government’s policy on labor policy, sending out human resources, vocational training, etc., and President Tanaka exchanged opinions on the future direction of cooperation, referring to ongoing efforts, including JICA’s dispatch of experts.
