Posted on 2024-12-182025-01-21 by Editor in Chief

The Imperial Hotel Tokyo will offer new accommodation plans, reissued sweets, a limited number of whiskies with original labels, and a rakugo storytelling event as the third of its 135th anniversary commemorative projects.

Since the Imperial Hotel will celebrate its 135th anniversary on November 3, 2025, the hotel has designated November 3, 2024 to March 31, 2026 as its 135th anniversary celebration period.

The 135th Anniversary Stay Plan allows guests to stay for 135 hours (5 nights + 15 hours) in honor of the hotel’s 135th anniversary, and the 15 hours can be combined according to convenience, including early check-in/late check-out. Rooms are available from January 5 to November 3, 2025, and are located on the “Regular Floor Deluxe Park View” in the main building. Rates start at 622,000 yen per room, double occupancy, for five nights. In addition to the aforementioned +15 hours, a 25,000 yen use coupon for use at the restaurant and hotel store Gargantua is also included.

In addition, an overnight plan to enjoy a “traditional full course” dinner in the guest room (limited to three rooms per day; from 116,800 yen for deluxe on the regular floor of the main building, from 147,200 yen for junior suite on the regular floor of the main building) is also available.

The hotel store Gargantua will reissue traditional sweets throughout the year starting in January 2025. The first item is Napoleon Pie (1,512 yen), which will be available from January 7 to March 14. After that, from March 15 to April, a chocolate pie will be available, followed by a swan puff in May, a Swiss tart in June, a lemon meringue pie in July and August, a savarin in September and October, and a Camembert cheesecake in November and December.

Napoleon Pie will also be served at the Rendezvous Lounge on the 1st floor of the main building (3,800 yen, including coffee/tea). The period is from February 1 to April 30.

In addition, an original label whiskey (39mL glass, 7,900 yen), a collaboration between the Atsugishi Distillery in Hokkaido and Imperial Hotel bartenders, will be offered at the hotel’s lounge and bar, and on March 20, the 12th Annual Imperial Hotel Rakugo Show will be held. Performers will include Shunputei Koasa, Knights, and Chokarou Momoka.
