Tokyu Resorts & Stay will begin operating Ski Jam Katsuyama (170-70 Yoshino, Katsuyama, Fukui Prefecture), one of the largest ski resorts in western Japan, on December 20. Operating hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

There are two courses that can be skied: the Fantasy Site and the Variety Site. The longest run is 5,000m, and with 70cm of snow at the base of the slopes and 150cm in the middle of the slopes, visitors can enjoy a fulfilling skiing experience from the beginning of the season.

Three lifts will be in operation: the Fantasy Quad Lift, the Variety Quad Lift, and the Variety Pair Lift. One-day lift fares are 5800 yen for adults, 3500 yen for elementary school students, 1900 yen for children from 3 years old to preschool age, and 5000 yen for those 60 years old and older.

This season, the snow play area “Bikids Park” will be further expanded. In the snow play area, visitors can play using their whole body by climbing and rolling on snow piles and fluffy fresh snow. Visitors can also enjoy playing in the snow on the snow play equipment, in the kids’ snow bike area, and in the slider lane. The area is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and admission is ¥1,000 (free for children under 3 years old).

A Tyrannosaurus race will be held for the first time on the snow, with costumed riders running up the ski slope in a single bound. Every Sunday during the season, a rock-paper-scissors tournament will be held in the Bikids Park, as well as “first-time skiing and snowboarding workshops” for children.

From December 21 to April 6, 2025, a free shuttle bus will operate daily without reservations from Echizen Railway Katsuyama Station, departing from Echizen Railway Katsuyama Station at 8:30/10:20 and from Ski Jam Katsuyama at 16:05/17:15 (17:00 from March 15 to April 6, 2025). The train will be in operation.
