Transfer NAVITIME enables narrowing down the Shinkansen train routes. You can search routes by avoiding “Nozomi” trains during the year-end and New Year holidays and using unreserved seat trains.

On December 18, Navitime Japan began offering a function that allows users to refine their search by Shinkansen train type on its “Norikae NAVITIME” transfer guide application (Android/iOS version).

In the normal route search, “Nozomi,” “Hayabusa,” “Komachi,” and “Mizuho” are prioritized for long-distance intercity travel involving Shinkansen trains in order to take arrival times and journey times into account, but “Nozomi” trains are all reserved seats during major holidays such as year-end and New Year holidays, and railroad operator membership benefits and discount services do not In light of the fact that only certain trains are available, a “narrowed-down search” has been added for all Shinkansen trains in Japan.

In response to the need to avoid the fastest trains such as “Nozomi” that tend to be crowded during the travel and homecoming season, and to travel slowly with “Hikari” and “Kodama” that have unreserved seats while keeping fares low, the new system allows users to search for the best route after narrowing down the trains in detail according to their preferences.

In addition, the search results list can now also display the type of bullet train, allowing the user to check the bullet train to be used at a glance.
