Kansai Airport announced that it will revise the Passenger Service Facilities Charge (PSFC) at Kansai International Airport Terminal 1 on April 1, 2025. This will apply to passengers whose tickets are issued on or after that date.
PSFC is paid at the same time as the airfare when purchasing a ticket, and is used to provide services such as departure and arrival lobbies, and to improve and maintain various facilities.
The revision is due to the grand opening of Terminal 1 in the spring of 2025, which is currently under renovation, as well as the recent sharp rise in energy, labor, and other prices. Excluding the consumption tax hike, this is the first revision for 1 Tamiami international flights since the port opened in 1994, and the first revision for domestic flights since 2018.
