Mitsui Fudosan, JR Tokai, and Sagawa Express will launch the InterCity Hotel Baggage Link service on January 20, 2025. This service utilizes the Tokaido Shinkansen’s corporate luggage transportation service, “Tokaido Mach Mail”.
This service provides same-day delivery of guests’ luggage between eligible Mitsui Fudosan Group hotels in the Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka areas. JR Tokai’s Tokaido Shinkansen Line will handle transportation between Tokyo Station and Shin-Osaka Station, while Sagawa Express will handle transportation between the hotels and the stations.
Reservations will be accepted on the dedicated website from January 6, at a cost of 10,780 yen per piece. There is also a plan to drop off the baggage at Kyoto or Shin-Osaka stations and have it delivered to a participating hotel in Tokyo, both priced at 13,200 yen. The company plans to expand the number of hotels and plans in the future.
