Tokyo Metro will revise fares for the Tokyo Metro 24-Hour Ticket, the Tokyo Metro Student 24-Hour Ticket, and some of the special tickets sold by other operators. The company states that the revision is “in order to maintain and improve safe and reliable transportation services,” and will take effect from the tickets to be put on sale on March 15, 2025.

The 24-hour ticket allows unlimited rides on all Tokyo Metro lines for 24 hours after passing through the ticket gate. After the revision, the price of the “Tokyo Metro 24-Hour Ticket” will be 700 yen (half price for children), and the “Tokyo Metro Student 24-Hour Ticket” will be 350 yen. Some tickets shared with other operators, such as the Tokyu Tokyo Metro Pass, will also increase in price by 100-140 yen.

Also, starting on the same day, advance sales of the “Tokyo Metro 24-Hour Pass” will be available only on the “Metro Canned ANNEX” EC site and Amazon, and sales at commuter pass sales offices at stations will cease. The “Metro no Canned ANNEX” site only accepts bulk orders of 5 tickets or more, and Amazon only accepts bulk orders of 10 tickets or more. Same-day tickets will continue to be available at ticket vending machines at each station, with a minimum purchase of one ticket.

In addition, the company announced that it will roll out a new “Tokyo Metro 24-hour ticket” service using credit card touch payment and QR codes starting in March. Details will be announced at a later date.
