Rakuten Travel is holding the “Rakuten Travel New Year SALE” with special deals on winter/spring travel until 9:59 p.m. on January 6, 2025.

Sale-only plans (at least 5% off the original price plan) at popular hotels and hot spring resorts across Japan are now available, and even more savings can be made if you use the maximum 10% off lodging coupon in conjunction with the sale. In addition, a New Year’s gift plan with a 3 million point split is also being offered.

Aji to Yu no Yado New Tomiyoshi (1472-1 Shimotaga, Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture), a hot spring resort in Atami, is offering a New Year SALE on an overnight stay in a suite room with an open-air bath overlooking the sea in its new annex. Prices range from 43,890 yen to 45,980 yen per person for double occupancy. The stay is available from January 1 to June 30, 2025.

The new annex, which opened in the summer of 2024 on a hill adjacent to the main building, has a total of 14 suite rooms. All of them are equipped with an open-air bath and balcony, and guests can choose their favorite type from Twin Western-style room (73m2), Japanese-style room (82m2), Japanese-style room deluxe (82-92m2), and Japanese-style room premium (135m2).

Dinner is a rocky shore cuisine with a lot of fish, such as boatloads of lobsters and simmered sea bream. For breakfast, you can enjoy a Japanese-style set meal with lobster miso soup and dried local fish in a private dining room.
