DXCUP2024-winter, a DX business contest for Japanese and Mongolian technical college and university students, was held at Z.com ASA Arena. | News & PR

DXCUP” is an international business model development contest for students of high schools, vocational schools, specialized academies, and universities, with the aim of stimulating DX and developing ICT and digital engineering human resources in Mongolia. Mongolian and Japanese students challenged themselves to create businesses using digital technology to solve social problems in Mongolia.

For this fourth edition of the competition, 17 teams, 14 from Mongolia and 3 from Japan, were selected from a total of 62 Mongolian and Japanese teams that applied. The teams that participated in the finals spent approximately two months developing and prototyping their prototypes while receiving mentoring from the sponsor and supporting companies, as well as participating in online seminars by special lecturers to hone their business model development and presentation skills in preparation for the day’s event.

The final round of the “DXCUP 2024-winter” was held on Saturday, December 7 at the Z.com ASA Arena. All of the teams gave excellent presentations, so we changed our original plan and sent the following awards to a total of seven teams.

1st : Ger team (Affiliated to University of Science and Technology – Faculty of Information and Communication)

2nd : CureAI Solutions (New Mongolian Private University)

3rd : AERW (Hokkaido University)

GMO Award: Problem solving (National Defense University)

Mobicom Award: Team Anvjin (Affiliated to University of Science and Technology – Faculty of Information and Communication)

HUB Award (1st team): Psychic Worms (Affiliated to University of Science and Technology – Faculty of Information and Communication)

HUB Award (2nd team): New AI (New Mongolia National College of Technology)

The first to third place teams were awarded a total of 12 million togrogs, the GMO award team was awarded a tour of Japan, the Mobicom award team was awarded free use of the M office, and the two HUB award teams were awarded free use of the Innovation HUB in Ulaanbaatar. The two teams selected for the HUB Award were offered the right to use the Innovation HUB in Ulaanbaatar free of charge. After the judging of the presentations, students from both countries joined hands in an exchange party, where they discussed until late into the night what they could do to solve global issues together.
