JICA President Akihiko Tanaka met with Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, at JICA headquarters on December 18.
During the meeting, President Tanaka spoke highly of Egypt’s efforts to contribute to the stabilization of the Middle East region, and expressed his desire to work more closely with Egypt as the situation in the region, including Syria in addition to the Gaza conflict, becomes even more complicated.
In response, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation H.E. Mr. Al-Mashaat expressed his recognition of the deepening relationship between Japan and Egypt, thanked JICA for its past cooperation with Egypt, and expressed hope for further cooperation between the two countries.
