Tokyo Monorail has announced plans to renovate Haneda Airport Terminal 1 station. In addition to station facilities, commercial facilities are also targeted, the latter of which have already been sequentially opened since December.
This is the first renewal based on the “Tokyo Monorail Theater” brand concept since the station opened. The station will redesign the area near the North Exit ticket gates to improve visibility, install new advertising space, and update the restrooms inside the ticket gates.
As for the commercial facilities, the area of stores will be expanded to approximately 968m2 by utilizing the vacant space. In addition to attracting restaurants and food stores, the project also aims to expand the drugstore to enhance the airport pharmacy function.
By March 2025, restaurants and food stores such as Sakiyoken, McDonald’s, and Marugame Seimen will be open, as well as Kokumin Drug, which has a pharmacy function. After all tenants open, the company plans to hold an opening event.
