Awajiya “EF66 27 Lunch Box”. Specialties along the Tokaido and Sanyo Lines in a ceramic container.

Posted on 2024-12-272025-02-04 by Editor in Chief

Awajiya will release “EF66 27 Lunchbox” on January 4, 2025. The price is 2,980 yen.

The motif of this lunchbox is based on Unit 27 of the EF66 class, an electric locomotive designed during the JNR era, which retained much of its original style when it first appeared on the market. The ceramic container is filled with specialties from the Tokaido and Sanyo lines where the EF66 ran: Fukagawa rice (Tokyo), eel (Nagoya), Kobe beef (Kobe), conger eel (Hiroshima), and globefish (Yamaguchi).

The product will be available only by reservation, through “o-tori-oki reservations” at stores, and by order through the online store.
