Ryohin Keikaku, the company behind MUJI, will launch “MUJI Labo” 2025 spring/summer season items on January 20. It will be sequentially rolled out in some MUJI stores (17 stores in Japan), online stores, and 13 overseas countries and regions, including China, the U.S., and France.
MUJI Labo is a series that MUJI has been developing since 2005 as a laboratory for pursuing basic clothing production, and was renewed for the 2024 fall/winter season.
The lineup for the spring/summer 2025 season includes jackets and skirts made of Japanese paper and linen/ramie, blouses and T-shirts combining natural materials such as linen and silk and linen and cotton, and sweatshirts and T-shirts made on old-style loop wheel knitting machines that knit fabric in a tubular shape at low speed.
In addition to household sundries items such as towels and aprons, the company will also offer new clothing sundries items such as shoes, hats, bags, and carrying cases.
