The Dubai Economic and Tourism Authority has released an update on unique local activities and hotel openings under the title “Ten Special Experiences Only Dubai Can Offer in 2025.
One of the experiences to fully enjoy in Dubai is “Dubai Chocolate,” which attracted much attention in Japan last year. This luxury chocolate is a combination of kunafeh (kadaif), a thin noodle-like dough made from flour used in Middle Eastern sweets, and rich pistachio paste or tahini, and is popular around the world for its rich, crunchy new texture.
The original is sold by a Dubai-based chocolate brand called FIX Dessert Chocolatier. In addition to the pistachio and kadaif flavor “Can’t Get Knafeh of It,” there are a variety of flavors including caramel, nutty, crispy, and cereal-filled, and it is said to be such an excellent product that even Crown Prince Hamdan of Dubai ordered the special Dubai Chocolate.
Although hard to find, FIX’s original Dubai chocolate is only available on the online delivery platform Deliveroo at 2pm and 3pm daily. The price is 68.25 AED per piece (as of January 6, 2025). It is better to set an alarm and log in in advance, as they usually sell out within minutes of the start of sales. According to the agency, “For maximum enjoyment of the unique texture and various flavors, freshly made within three days is recommended,” so if you visit Dubai, be sure to order from the hotel where you are staying to experience the fresh taste to your heart’s content.
Visit Dubai, the official website of the Dubai Economic and Tourism Authority, also features an interview with Dubai-based entrepreneur Sarah Hamouda, creator of the original Dubai Chocolate and the company behind FIX Chocolate.
We wanted to capture the charm of Dubai, where so many cultures intersect, in our chocolate,” said Sara. We created this product by combining Middle Eastern and Western flavors. I still remember the excitement I felt the day the orders started pouring in. I realize that Dubai is a special place that opens up new possibilities for each of us.
Other topics of interest in Dubai 2025 include a stay at the Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab hotel, which will open on March 14, and Zuma Dubai Beach House, a beach activity facility also scheduled to open in 2025 in the Jumeirah area.
In addition to lodging and meals, guests at the Al Maha Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa Dubai, a luxury resort located in the Dubai Desert Reserve, can enjoy all-inclusive outdoor desert activities such as camel rides and sunset tours. The resort offers all-inclusive accommodation, meals, camel rides, sunset tours, and other outdoor desert activities.
In April, “World Art Dubai” (April 17-20) will bring together art from around the world, and “Art Dubai” (April 18-20) will allow visitors to view artworks from around the world.
