JR Tokai and Sopra Ginza will hold “Wan Wan Express,” an event on March 9 that allows you to ride the Tokaido Shinkansen with your dog.
Many people have been requesting the opportunity to travel on the Shinkansen with their pets for some time, and this is JR Tokai’s first attempt to do so. For example, you can let your dog out of its cage for part of the time on the chartered train and enjoy a free trip with your pet, such as viewing Mt.
On the day of the tour, there will be a photo session, a chance to try the “nishikawa [air SX]” cushion for dogs, a seminar on how to brush your dog’s teeth with a trainer, and dog treats for your dog. In addition, a special offer will be given for half-price dog training (3 hours) at Pet Salon Sopra Ginza (limited to the day before the tour).
The train will be “Nozomi No. 421” (departing Tokyo at 16:18 and arriving at Shin-Osaka at 18:45), and the chartered car will be a standard car No. 16. The price is 59,000 yen for one person and 114,000 yen for two people.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 16:00 on January 16 to 17:00 on February 7 on the special page on the JTB website. The total number of applicants is limited to 26 pairs (13 pairs for one owner and one pet dog, and 13 pairs for two owners and one pet dog).
