On January 17, Tokyu Corporation applied to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for approval of an operating concept for the development of a new airport line.

This project aims to provide direct service between the Tokyu Tamagawa Line and the New Airport Line by undergrounding the Tokyu Tamagawa Line from near Yaguchiwatashi Station to Kamata Station, and then utilizing a new connecting line (New Airport Line) to be built near Keikyu Kamata Station on the Kamata Station-Keikyu Main Line and Airport Line.

The proposed project is approximately 0.8 km from Yaguchiwatashi Station to Kamata Station on the Tokyu Tamagawa Line to the vicinity of Keikyu Kamata Station on the Keihin Electric Express Railway Main Line and Airport Line. (22 minutes) near Jiyugaoka Station to Keikyu Kamata Station.
