Telecom Square announced that its Wi-Fi rental service, WiFiBOX, will be offered at Yumeshima Station, scheduled to open on January 19.
To use the service, users make a reservation online and pull out a Wi-Fi router from a special box installed at the station to complete the rental. In addition to Wi-Fi, the router is equipped with a charging cable for smartphones and can also function as a mobile battery.
Returns are accepted at any location where the box is located, even at a different location than the pickup location. The hours for pickup and return are from 5:00 to midnight.
This service is being provided in anticipation of the demand from visitors to the Osaka-Kansai Expo who are anxious about communication lines and battery recharging. The “WiFiBOX” is available in six languages, including English, and can be used smoothly by foreign visitors.
