On January 22, Ghibli Park (1533-1 Ibarakemawarama Otsu, Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture) unveiled new exhibits and ticket information from April.
Director Hayao Miyazaki’s beloved Citroën 2CV will be on display at Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse from January 29. The exhibition will also include the original story “The Story of Hayao Miyazaki’s 2CV,” which depicts how Director Hayao bought the car to take his child to and from preschool and fell in love with it and could not part with it.
In addition, Ghibli Park will renew its ticket system from April. In addition to one-day set tickets that allow visitors to enjoy multiple areas at once, area tickets that allow access to one area at a time will also be available, allowing visitors to use the tickets according to their needs.
The “Ghibli Park Daisanpo Ticket Premium” (weekdays: ¥7,300 for adults, ¥3,650 for children), which allows admission to five areas and viewing of all buildings, will remain on sale. The “Ghibli Park Grand Sanpo Pass Standard” (weekdays: ¥3,300 for adults, ¥1,650 for children) is newly established.
Area tickets are divided into four types: Witch Valley, Mononoke no Sato, Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, Seishun no Oka, and Dondokoro Mori. Adults and children are 2,000 yen and 1,000 yen for the Valley of Witches, Mononoke no Sato, and the Grand Warehouse of Ghibli.
Tickets are by reservation only and will go on sale at 2:00 p.m. on the 10th, two months prior to admission; tickets for admission in April will go on sale at 2:00 p.m. on February 10. The “Ghibli Park Grand Walk” and “Ghibli Park Walk” tickets currently on sale will end with the March admission.
