The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa (2424 Kalākaua Ave, Honolulu) has announced the creation of a new category of guest rooms, the Junior Suite.
Junior Suites, a total of 80 rooms with spectacular views of Diamond Head, the Pacific Ocean, and vibrant Waikiki, will be available for reservations beginning March 3, with rates starting at $399 per night (varies by day).
The 65-inch TV in the console designed for the Junior Suite can be raised or lowered to allow the bedroom and lounge area with sofa bed to be used as a separate or open space.
Each Junior Suite room has a king-size bed and a sofa bed that converts to a full-size bed. Other amenities include a 65-inch Smart TV with Chromecast streaming capability, free high-speed Wi-Fi, Nespresso coffee maker, alarm clock with cell phone charging capability, nightstand with USB port, air conditioning, mini-fridge, iron, in-room safe, TOTO bidet and amenities such as Marie Organics bath products, toothpaste set, hair dryer, slippers, original water bottle and eco-bag to take home.
In addition, six Family Ocean Suites, which had been used as connecting rooms, were created as “One Bedroom Oceanfront Suites.
The suite is located on the upper level of the hotel with a spacious area of approximately 93m2 with two private lanais. In addition to a king-size bed in the bedroom, a sofa bed and table in the living area of a separate room are said to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay.
The upgraded, modern-looking room, which also has a Hawaiian feel in the natural plank flooring, is decorated with colorful artwork by Hawaii-based artist Michael Cutlip.
