The Kobe City Transportation Bureau will hold a grand opening of Sannomiya Station on the Kobe Municipal Subway Seishin-Yamate Line on February 3 at 11:00 (after the ceremony).
The renewal work has been underway since August 2023, and the Director of the Kobe City Transportation Bureau and others are scheduled to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the concourse outside the East Exit ticket gates on the day of the renewal. In addition, a new advertisement jack-up (“KOBE KAWARU ACTION” No. 4) to strengthen the brand power along the railway line will be deployed from the first train departures, utilizing the newly installed digital signage inside and outside the ticket gates and the speakers in the “Runway of Light” concourse outside the East Exit ticket gates, which was completed at the end of last year.
Three stores will open simultaneously in front of the ticket gate: “Danmarche” bakery, “Onigiriya Ichigiri” specialty store for freshly made rice balls, and “SWEETS BOX” store featuring weekly specials from famous stores and popular sweets. A Daily Yamazaki store is scheduled to open in the east side of the building in the spring of 2025.
