Travel Industry Management School to Open in Osaka in FY2025. Aiming to create a place of learning that will surprise you with “what the heck is this?

Posted on 2025-01-232025-03-10 by Editor in Chief

JATA (Japan Association of Travel Agents) held a regular press conference at its headquarters in Tokyo on January 23.

The first topic is the application for the Travel Industry Management School for 2025. The Travel Industry Management School is a study group run by industry volunteers since 1999. It is a place to learn “how to look at things, how to think, and how to make decisions” in order to nurture human resources who will lead the future of the travel industry.

This year, when the Osaka-Kansai Expo will be held, all lectures will be held in Osaka for the first time. Lecturers include Yutaka Izumi, producer of Dentsu Kansai Branch Office; Daisuke Sato, president of Tohoku Arangers/executive director of Sword Corporation/board member of Japan Entertainment; and Riko Ogawa, counselor and Kansai liaison/Expo director of Panasonic Holdings. The lecturers and the content of the lectures will surprise you.

Yuji Hara, President of the Travel Industry Management School and Vice President of JATA, said, “In many cases, the travel industry is surprisingly unaware of other companies and has few horizontal connections. Our school has built a network of nearly 500 graduates (alumni), ranging from small and medium-sized business owners to managers of major companies, all in their 30s to 60s. We hope that each of you will deepen your own ideas through learning and use what you learn not only in your work, but also in your later life,” he said.
