Workman announced on January 23 that it will rename “#Workman Girls” to “Workman Colors”.
Since rural areas with smaller populations need to attract a wider range of customers, the store name is intended to make it easier to attract male customers as well. Workman Colors will also enter the market by offering women’s wear that is more trend-oriented, while men’s wear will include basic clothing such as the “Comfortable Everyday Clothing” series.
Workman Colors” will also be the brand name for trendy PB products that are produced with short delivery times after identifying trends. Products will be sold exclusively in the future, with plans to increase the ratio of exclusive products to 60% by the fall of 2025 and to 80% by the fall of 2014. In previous women’s stores, the ratio of women to men’s products was 3:2, excluding dual gender products, but Workman Colors will increase the ratio to 1:1.
In response to feedback that some men’s items sold at women’s stores were too flashy and difficult to buy, basic men’s everyday wear has been greatly expanded, and some outdoor wear will be sold exclusively at Workman WORKMAN Plus in the future.
The new Workman Colors Sakurai store and three existing stores, #Workman Girls Hamamatsu Ichino, Cospa Shin-Shimonoseki, and Kurieito Munakata, will be renovated and opened simultaneously on February 20, and 25 new Workman Colors stores will be opened from February 20 to mid-June.
In addition, the women’s stores in operation will be gradually converted into Workman Colors stores, and 40 new Workman Colors stores will be opened each year, with the goal of having 400 stores by the end of 2032, seven and a half years from now.
