On January 27, Korean Air introduced its first Airbus A350-900 aircraft and began operating it on its Japan route. The first flight is KE723 from Incheon (Seoul) to KIX, and will mainly operate on the Incheon – KIX/Fukuoka route.

Flight KE789: Incheon (13:10) to Fukuoka (14:40)
Flight KE790: Fukuoka (15:50) to Incheon (17:20)
The cabin has a total of 311 seats, 28 in prestige class (business class) and 283 in economy class, with the business class seats in a 1-2-1 staggered configuration. Seats are 56 cm wide and 195.5 cm long when made into beds, and are equipped with a touch-screen 18.5-inch monitor for personal use.
Economy class has a 3-3-3 arrangement with a seat width of 45 cm, seat spacing (seat pitch) of 81-83 cm, and Panasonic eX3 personal monitors.
The A350-900 will be introduced on future routes to Taipei, Madrid, Rome, and other destinations, and the airline plans to introduce a series of the same type of aircraft, including the A350-1000.
