Senshukai’s mail-order business Belle Maison will release three items on Belle Maison Net on January 31: a watch, a plastic umbrella, and lightweight slip-ons designed to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the publication of the Moomin novels.
To bring the appeal of the Moomins, loved by people of all ages, closer to home, Belle Maison has created a lineup of original Belle Maison products with special logos on items for everyday use.
The “Hook Watch with Book-Shaped Case” (7,480 yen) is a watch with a book-shaped cover and a belt that can be attached to a bag. Slide the cover to reveal the watch, and the dial is also decorated with Moomin.
The “Switching Design Vinyl Umbrella” (2,990 yen) comes in a lineup of four colors with colorful depictions of the 80th anniversary logo and special artwork. The clear material provides unobstructed rain protection, and the one-touch jump-open design makes it easy to handle even with one hand. The parent bone is made of lightweight and durable fiberglass.
The Benebis x Moomin “Lightweight Slip-On” (9,990 yen), which was released last year and received favorable reviews, is now available in a new “olive gray” color with the 80th anniversary logo on the insole. The soft and comfortable man-made leather makes them easy to walk in, and they are recommended for spring outings.
In addition, five Moomin Shops nationwide (Ginza, Osaka, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Futakotamagawa) will sequentially distribute “Chara Style Moomin Collection,” a catalog featuring new products including the above three items, from January 31 onward.
