JTB Publishing released “Rurubu Tokyo Retro Famous Architectures” on February 6.
The book introduces 39 famous buildings in Tokyo, including art galleries, museums, department stores, coffee shops, and beer halls, from the perspective of “seeing, eating, and playing. 112 pages, AB size, priced at 1,540 yen.
Each building introduces “architectural highlights” and “things you can do with the architecture”. The buildings are organized by genre, such as restaurants, cafes, shopping, and so on.
Detailed architectural illustrations are included for 10 distinctive buildings, explaining points that cannot be seen in photographs, such as the cross-section and overall view of the building.
It also includes information on how to enjoy Tokyo’s architectural masterpieces, such as model walking courses in Marunouchi, Omotesando, and other areas where famous buildings are concentrated.
