JR West will conduct the “San’in Shinkansen ‘Choido Tabi’ Campaign” in which passengers using reserved seats on the San’yo Shinkansen will receive WESTER points (basic points) equivalent to 5% of the purchase price, in addition to the points normally granted.
Entry from the special website is required to earn points. Entry period is from February 13 to April 24.
Eligible passengers are those who have purchased through “e5489” or “EX Service” (Express Reservation and Smart EX), and the boarding period is from March 15 to April 24. The conditions are that the trip must be completed on the Sanyo Shinkansen, and that reserved seats on the Nozomi, Hikari, and Kodama trains must be used within a section of 200 km or less. Travel across the Tokaido Shinkansen and Kyushu Shinkansen is not eligible.
In addition, those who have not used a reserved seat for more than one year will receive points equivalent to +5% (10% in total). Both types of points are “basic” points, and the maximum number of points that can be earned per ID is 10,000.
