Sagami Railway will implement a timetable revision on March 15.
Some trains departing from Yokohama between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on both weekdays and weekends will be changed to limited express. The fastest route from Yokohama to Yamato and Ebina used to require a transfer from the direct direction to the limited express. After the timetable revision, trains will be more accessible without the need to transfer.
In addition, the arrival and departure times at Shin-Yokohama Station will be partially adjusted to ensure transfer time with the Tokaido Shinkansen.
For early morning trains, the 5:30 a.m. departure from Shonandai Station will be changed to 5:23 a.m.. As a result, the arrival time at Shin-Yokohama Station will be 6:01 a.m. on weekdays and 5:59 a.m. on weekends and holidays, but both will now arrive at Shin-Yokohama Station at 5:53 a.m.
The operating interval will also be adjusted for trains running late at night on weekends and holidays to facilitate smooth transfers from the Tokaido Shinkansen.
In addition, the timetable for Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays will be partially changed in terms of train sections and train types for trains directly connecting to the Tokyu Toyoko Line. In addition, the morning and evening trains directly bound for Ebina Station to the Tokyu Toyoko Line will be operated, and the morning train from Shonandai Station to Kawagoe Station (local train) will also be changed to a limited express train.
Timetables for each station will be posted on Sagami Railway’s website around early March.
