IKAROS Publishing “Zenkoku Ekisoba Encyclopedia”. It contains 520 gems from the royal road to local menus.

Ikaros Publishing, an Impress Group company that handles media business in the aviation and railroad fields, released “Zenkoku Ekisoba Encyclopedia,” a book in the Traveling Train Books Plus series, on February 20.

The book features more than 520 delicious ekisoba noodles by area, chain store, and station, including the best one to try at least once, selected by a train photographer who tours the country. The history of railroads and stations is also explored.

A pictorial guide to ekisoba with an index of station names is included at the end of the book. In addition, each restaurant is marked with an icon indicating the payment method: “cash only” or “transportation system IC available”. A column for checking actual meals is also included, allowing visitors to record their own eating history.

This book is a re-edit and update of the book “Tasty Ekisoba Encyclopedia” (Tabitetsu BOOKS 049) published by Tenmujin in 2021, which also includes a lot of the latest information as of January 2025. The full-color design makes it easy to find visually.
