JR East ends its unlimited 2-day “Weekend Pass”. On sale until June 27.

On February 19, JR East announced that it will no longer offer the “Metropolitan Area Weekend Free Ticket,” “Tokyo Free Ticket,” and “Weekend Pass,” which are sold as special tickets.

The “Metropolitan Area Weekend Free Ticket,” which allows unlimited rides for two days in the free area when traveling to Tokyo, will be on sale from Niigata and Nagano areas (4,600 to 8,380 yen for adults) until March 28, and will be available on Saturdays and holidays through March 30 (except April 27 to May 6). Tickets departing from the Tohoku area (adults 6,070 yen to 15,500 yen) will be on sale until June 27, and available on Saturdays and holidays until June 29 (except April 27-May 6).

The “Tokyo Free Ticket” (¥11,420 for adults), which allows unlimited rides for four days in the Tokyo Free Area, will be on sale until June 27 and available until July 1.

The “Weekend Pass” (8,880 yen for adults), which allows unlimited rides for two days on JR lines and 14 other railroad company lines within the free area, will be on sale until June 27 and can be used on Saturdays and holidays through June 29 (excluding April 27-May 6).
