The Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation Bureau will revise the timetables of the Toei Subway Mita, Shinjuku, and Oedo Lines on March 15. The lines will be operating extra trains and changing destinations on weekdays, mainly during the time when trains are returning home.
The Mita Line will review its operation so that some 6-car trains can be operated with 8-car trains during busy weekday hours, such as in the evening.
On the Shinjuku Line, the 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. trains on weekdays and weekends for Shinjuku will be replaced by direct trains to the Keio Line (to Sasazuka). On weekdays at 5:00 p.m., an express train bound for Shinjuku (from Oshima to Sasazuka) will also be introduced for the first time.
In addition, one more local train bound for Motoyawata will be available at 18:00 on weekdays. The interval between runs at stations where express trains pass will be improved.
On the Oedo Line, trains will be increased on weekday evenings and nights. The number of round trips between Tocho-cho-mae, Ueno-okachimachi, Kiyosumi-shirakawa, Roppongi and Hikarigaoka will be increased by two, and that between Kiyosumi-shirakawa, Roppongi and Hikarigaoka by one to ease congestion during the return home hours.
