JR West ends sales of the 2-person “Discover Osaka-Etoko Ticket” ahead of schedule. No change in usage period.

Posted on 2025-02-212025-03-27 by Editor in Chief

On February 20, JR West Japan announced the early termination of the entry for the “Discover Osaka-Etoko Ticket” for two people traveling together. The entry fee is 2,000 yen (4,000 yen must be paid separately at the time of reservation), and entries will be accepted through “e5489” until 11:30 p.m. on February 21.

The Osaka-Etoko Discovery Ticket is a ticket that determines the content of a trip based on a compatibility test between two people. The ticket allows a round-trip ride from Osaka City to any of the five “eetoko” stations in western Japan (Kojima, Banshu-Ako, Yuasa, Higashi Maizuru, or Tsuruga), in a reserved seat in a standard car of a Shinkansen or limited express train, or in a non-reserved seat in a standard car of a standard train. The period of use is two consecutive days until March 9.

Reservations for two persons per entry will be accepted; no single-person, three-person, or child fares are available. Entry requires registration as a “WESTER” member and downloading of the “WESTER” application, and can only be done once per ID.

They have received numerous reservations, especially on Saturdays and Sundays, making it difficult to reserve the desired date and time (train). However, if you have already entered, reservations will be accepted until the start of March 8.
