A refreshing lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant with handmade noodles, and bar time at night is also fun! I arrived at the restaurant a little after noon, so I wandered around Yutenji for lunch and found the Vietnamese restaurant “Stand Bo bun”. I wanted something refreshing, so I was attracted by the light green color of the restaurant, which also has a nice exterior, and entered the restaurant. I ordered “Bo bun”, thin rice noodles with sweet and spicy sauce, as the rice flour noodles are handmade. It is crispy but also satisfying as it is served with fried spring rolls. I thought it was Vietnamese food, but I was told that this dish is often eaten in Paris. There is an interesting history of the mix of cuisines due to the colonial association between France and Vietnam. The plump, handmade noodles are intertwined with a soup that tastes good for the body. The dish is full of vegetables, crunchy beans, and a variety of textures and colors that are as enjoyable as fireworks shooting off in your mouth. The beef is sweet and spicy, and has a natural flavor with no chemical seasonings. The counter is lined with a variety of alcoholic beverages, and the natural wines look delicious! Since it was a lunchtime visit, I refrained from drinking this time, but I am sure I will be able to enjoy alcohol next time. There are also many dishes that can be used as snacks, and it looks like a good place to use as a bar in the evening as well.
A quick break at a café, cake and coffee time in the warm sunshine After shopping after lunch, I entered “SIDEWALK COFFEE YUTENJI” to take a short break at a café, although it was not a long walk. The store is not too big, not too small, but just the right size, with delicious-looking breads and cakes lined up in the showcase. There are also various types of coffee and beans available for purchase. I ordered an Americano on this day. And since they had my favorite carrot cake, I ordered it without hesitation. I was not that hungry, but it is rare to find a store that serves carrot cake, so I ordered it without hesitation. I think the first time I had it was in Russia. I would like to study the recipe for my own spiced carrot cake. The woody interior with lots of sunlight makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. There are large tables, so it looks like a good place to work, but it is also a great place for a relaxing cafe time on your days off. The very moist carrot cake is wrapped in cooking paper and goes great with the cream. The coffee was also Americano, but it was very satisfying with just the right amount of richness and depth.
