Hulic Hotel Management will open The Gate Hotel Yokohama by HULIC (11-3 Yamashita-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture), the fifth hotel in Japan under its The Gate Hotel brand, on February 26.

This article reports on the preview held prior to the opening. The Gate Hotel Yokohama is in an excellent location, facing Yamashita Park overlooking the Port of Yokohama and close to Hikawa Maru.

The 12-story building expresses the history and culture of Yokohama since the opening of the port of Yokohama, and each floor is modernized from the past to the present and into the future, creating a fusion of traditional and modern Yokohama design. Anchor Grill Yokohama” is located on the ground floor. The lobby is on the 12th floor and has a reception counter, bar, and access to the balcony. This part of the building was used for the ceremony on the day of the event, so there are no photos of this part of the building.

There are five types of rooms. The Gate, the largest and only one suite, is 63m2 with a separate living room and bedroom, accommodates one or two persons, and has twin beds. It is a corner room on the park side with an outstanding view.

Luxe” is 35m2, sleeps 1 to 2, and has king or twin beds. Classy” is 30 to 35 square meters in size, sleeps 1 to 2 people, and has beds for king, twin, Hollywood twin, and triple occupancy. The “THE GATE” suites and these have a view of the ocean with Yamashita Park.

The “Essential” rooms are 26 square meters in size, sleep one or two people, and come in double, universal design, and Hollywood twin bed configurations. The “Modest” rooms are 18 square meters in size, sleep one person, and have semi-double beds. All beds have Simmons mattresses.

Amenities are mostly the same. The bathroom has a German “Hansgrohe” shower with an overhead shower, and the toilet is in a separate room. A large TV is provided, as well as Nespresso coffee and Bluetooth speakers.

Anchor Grill Yokohama, a restaurant on the first floor, is an all-day dining restaurant serving breakfast through dinner. It is open to guests of the hotel as well. Under the theme of “A Journey that Starts at the Port,” guests can enjoy the view of Yamashita Park and the Port of Yokohama from the large windows, and terrace seating is also available. Pets are welcome on the outdoor terrace.

Breakfast will be served semi-buffet style with a freshly prepared main dish of your choice of Eggs Benedict, French Toast, or Yokohama Rice Curry, plus a choice of salads and other items. The salad bar will be available for lunch on weekdays only. The orange juice is hand-squeezed, the honey is from the hive, and so on, indicating that the restaurant is very particular about its ingredients. Dinner will feature a grill theme, with a menu that changes with the seasons.

In addition, there will be a rooftop terrace for the exclusive use of guests on the rooftop. Guests can freely enjoy the view from the perfect location without any restrictions. At night, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful night view.
