POVO launches “Giga Charge Card” at Lawson, which allows users to sign up and add data by paying cash.

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will release three types of data eSIM “Giga Charge Cards,” which allow customers to add povo data capacity, at Lawson stores on February 25.

There are three options to choose from: unlimited data usage (330 yen for 24 hours), 3GB (990 yen for 30 days), and 20GB (2,700 yen for 30 days), which can be purchased with cash payment at the store cash register. Even if you are not yet a POVO customer, you can register for a new account without account transfer or credit card information.

To use the service, first take the Giga Charge Card to the store’s cash register and tell the clerk what toppings you want. Even if you are not a povo user, you can subscribe to the service in as little as 3 minutes using the QR code on the back of the Giga Charge Card.

KDDI has also launched povo Data Oasis, a service that allows customers to receive up to 1GB of data for free every month in 2024 when they visit Lawson.
